Frisch Santa Barbara County Gewürztraminer has a dark yellow robe. The wine has light citrus aromas like grapefruit, Meyer Lemon and tangerine. Because of the way the fruits were picked, citrus notes are very mild and do not provide an aggressive, unbalanced acidity. Natural and spicy aromas, well known in the Gewurztraminer, are coming forward in the attack. The mid-palate is warm and reveals some complexity toward the finish. This wine has some exotic tropical notes in the finish such as pineapple, passion fruit or white cassis. There is a harmony and elegance in the overall balance. This wine is almost a late harvest type of wine, ready to enjoy now or over the next 5 years.
