Our 2012 Milano Cellars Malvasia was produced in San Bernabe in Monterey County. Common aromas found in Malvasia include peaches, apricots and white currants. Some delicate soft aromas of fresh cut rose flowers can be found as well. There is a nice kick of acidity and citrus flavors in the mouth. Fortified Malvasia, such as Madeira, is noted for their intense smoky notes and sharp acidity. As Malvasia ages, the wine tends to take on more nutty aromas and will have a life span of two to three years. There is a clean, round and long lasting finish.
